Joan Foley, U.S. Water’s Director of Accounting Services, has been selected as a honoree for Finance and Commerce newspaper’s 2017 Top Women in Finance.
Each November, Finance and Commerce newspaper recognizes accomplished women from across Minnesota, for both their professional and community impacts. Joan and her fellow honorees were recognized during the November 16 event in Minneapolis, MN, and will also be profiled in an upcoming edition of the newspaper.
“It is incredibly flattering to get nominated, especially after my short time at U.S. Water,” explained Joan. “The team here has been a great contributing factor in my success. I am truly honored to have been selected and have my work recognized. It is definitely humbling to be include with the amazing past and present honorees.”
Alan Nordstrom, U.S. Water’s Controller, praised Joan and her contributions in his nomination. “After joining U.S. Water in 2016, Joan immediately sized-up the fast-growing company needs and led the transformation of our accounting processes from manual to an automated and sustainable program. She is viewed by our executive team as a critical resource, and by her team as the fun-maker, going above and beyond every day.”
